Wang Yuzhong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and representatives of member units of the Carbon Committee also participated in this meeting.
On August 2, 2024, CBCGDF and Sinopec Carbon Industry Technology Co., Ltd., and others jointly initiated the Carbon Committee at the Carbon Neutral Industry Development Innovation Conference held in Nanjing. Special Envoy Liu Zhenmin and Dr. Zhou Jinfeng jointly initiated the Carbon Committee together with several academicians.
Since then, the Carbon Committee has received widespread attention from all sectors of society. The convening of this conference not only clarifies the relevant work arrangements of the Carbon Committee, but also strives to make the Carbon Committee an association of academic societies and industrial university communities in the future development. It will contribute to achieving deep participation in global environmental governance, and promoting the global process of the fourth civilization.
