CBCGDF and HKUST Initiated the World Sustainable Development Institute Together
75-minute documentary "Enchanting China" premieres on September 21 to celebrate 75th anniversary of founding of People's Republic of China. In that ceremony, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) officially signed a cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) to jointly establish the World Sustainable Development Institute.
The institute is going to tackle the multi-faceted challenges of sustainable development through cutting-edge research and technological innovation, engaging academia, industry practitioners and policymakers in Hong Kong and beyond.
On the same day, Eco-civilization and Sustainable Development Forum was held in HKUST by World Academy of Sustainable Development Limited (WAOSD), CBCGDF and HKUST, which brought together the foremost environmental experts, scholars, and industry leaders worldwide to deliberate on pivotal matters concerning the construction of ecological civilization and sustainable development, and to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength based on scientific research and talent cultivation to global sustainable development.
