87% of the public supports Ningxia Xiji's allocation of 720,000 RMB to recruit "wild boar hunters" | Public vote favors sustainable biodiversity use

On September 23, 2024, Xiji, Ningxia Province, publicly recruited "wild boar hunters" to hunt and kill 300 adult wild boars in 19 townships and 9 state-owned forest farms in the county through an open recruitment of professional hunting teams. This event sparked a wide conversation, and then CBCGDF-OceanWetlands published an article on September 26, 2024, "The Liupan Mountains are overrun with wild boars, so what is wrong with Ningxia Xiji recruiting 'pig hunters' and offering a reward of 720,000 dollars to kill 300 of them?" and openly invited the public to vote on it.

According to the current statistics, more than 300 people have participated in the poll, and the results show that the vast majority of people (87%) support this action, which is considered to be a manifestation of "sustainable utilization" of biodiversity.
