Volunteers from CBCGDF Tongbai Mountain Conservation Area Promote the Protection of Biodiversity in the Mountains at the Source of the Huaihe River on the Mid-Autumn Festival

On the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 17, 2024, volunteers from the Tongbai Mountains Conservation Area of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF)  and the CBCGDF, Tongbai Mountains Waters and Forests Protection Project Team carried out popular science publicity on ecological environmental protection in Huaiyuan Cultural Square, the commercial center of the county town, Huaimiao Community and other places in Tongbai County.

Two large theme publicity boards stood on the roadside for passers-by to stop and watch. The staff wore the red banner of China Biodiversity Conservation Foundation and held small leaflets on biodiversity protection. They distributed leaflets to passers-by and explained the relevant work of biodiversity protection in the local area.

The surrounding residents reflected that the effect of popular science was very good. Through popular science publicity, everyone learned about the national protected animals and plants in the source of the Huaihe River in Tongbai Mountains, and strengthened the protection of the water resources environment in the source area ofthe Huaihe River and the protection of biodiversity in the area.
