CBCGDF Launches the Second Investigation at the Apis cerana Community Conservation Area at Tongbai Mountain(CCAfa)

Following the first investigation in mid-December 2023, in the Tongbai Mountain, at the Source Huaihe River, the project team for the protection of mountains, rivers and forests at the source of the Huaihe River of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) officially conducted the second on-site investigation at the CBCGDF Apis cerana Community Conservation Area at Tongbai Mountain(CCAfa) located at the source of the Huaihe River. 

This investigation covers two topics: the current status of water ecological protection in the source of the Huaihe River and the development model of agriculture and forestry based on biodiversity conservation.


On the afternoon of April 7, with the strong support of the Tongbai County Forestry Bureau, the project team came to Tongbai Mountain again and conducted a detailed investigation on the breeding situation of Chinese Apis cerana in the area near Shuiliandong in Tongbai Mountain, located 5 kilometers west of Tongbai County. The area has lush vegetation and a variety of nectar plants, making it an excellent place for Chinese bee breeding.
