CBCGDF Delegates Reports on the First Day of INC-4

On April 23, 2024,  the fourth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4) of the "Plastics Treaty" officially start. The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) sent representatives to attend the meeting on-site.

At the plenary meeting of INC-4 on the first day, the international community discussed the severity of the plastic pollution problem and the need for targeted policies to address it urgently. Representatives from different countries shared their views and positions such as plastic remanufacturing, the need to support developing countries, and protecting natural resources. 


Despite having shared different opinions, all the representatives shared a common goal of combating plastic pollution and expressed their hope for finding practical solutions through collaboration and discussion. They emphasized the importance of protecting the sustainable development of our global environment.
