ZHOU Jinfeng leads the CBCGDF Huaihe River Source Project Team to Investigate the CBCGDF Apis cerana  Community Conservation Area in Tongbai County, Henan Province | Day 1

Tongbai County is located in the southeast of Henan Province and borders Hubei Province. As the source area of the Huaihe River, its ecological protection is of great significance to the ecological security of Henan Province and the entire Huaihe River Basin. On the afternoon of April 17, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), led the CBCGDF Huaihe River Source Project Team to CBCGDF Apis cerana  Community Conservation Area (CCAfa) in Tongbai County, Henan Province for investigation.

On the afternoon of April 17, after arriving at the Xinyang High-speed Railway Station, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng first went to the CBCGDF Apis cerana  Community Conservation Area in Tongbai County, to conduct research and conduct an on-site inspection of the protection and the cultivation of the Apis cerana genetic resources.  

Based on the problems discovered by the project team during the recent investigation of  Apis cerana breeding, especially the sales difficulties of Apis cerana, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng had a detailed communication with the director of the .CBCGDF Apis cerana  Community Conservation Area in Tongbai County, and said that the Huaihe source project team has carried out further research on this, and will work hard to protect the traditional production process of A. cerana honey, support policies, formulate relevant standards, and enhance the value of A. cerana honey to promote the protection of the genetic resources of A. cerana in Tongbai Mountain and help A. cerana Realization of ecological product value in breeding.
