CBCGDF Biodiversity Science Museum Welcomes Its First Physical Exhibit-Wild Soybeans Donated by Mr. HUO Daishan

In line with the purpose of disseminating scientific knowledge on biodiversity, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF)’s Biodiversity Science Museum is currently under construction.

The construction of the Biodiversity Science Museum has attracted a lot of attention and has also received support and encouragement from all sectors of society. Among them, Mr. HUO Daishan, known as the "Guardian of the Huai River," donated wild soybean seeds to the Museum, becoming the first donor of the physical exhibit for the museum.

Wild soybean is China’s national second-level protected wild plant with important research value, economic value, and medicinal value. In 2018, in order to protect the germplasm resources of wild soybeans, CBCGDF established the "China Wild Soybean Conservation Area " in Shenqiu County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province, to strengthen the protection of the natural population of wild soybeans and form a live germplasm resource bank for wild soybeans.
