Mr. Wei Wei Appointed a Member of the CBCGDF’s Expert Committee

Recently, Mr. Wei Wei was appointed member of the expert committee of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF).

Mr. Wei Wei serves in the Ecological Environment Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also serves as the editorial board member of the Journal of Ecology, Environmental Ecology, and the international SCI journal Land. He is also the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Regional Ecology Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecology, a member of the Ecological Hydrology Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Ecology, a standing member of the Forestry and Grass Ecological Restoration Project Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Water and Soil Conservation, a member of the Soil Erosion and Water and Soil Conservation Special Committee of the Chinese Society of Soil Conservation, a communications member of the Mountain Branch of the Chinese Geographical Society, an expert of the Ecological Community Foundation of the China Green Development Association, a vice-president of the Research Institute of the Qiandao Lake Ecological Community Federation, a member of the International Terrace Landscape Alliance (ITLA), and a member of the first academic committee of, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Applied Ecology in Shaanxi Province's Higher Education Institutions on the Loess Plateau; Member of the expert group for on-site verification and national assessment acceptance of Qilian Mountain National Park and Shangri La National Park in 2020; Expert in the Key Laboratory Evaluation of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration in 2023; Undertaking more than 20 national level scientific research projects and projects as the first person in charge; Published over 140 papers (nearly 70 SCI papers) in domestic and international academic journals, 9 national patents, 2 software copyrights, and authored/co authored 6 monographs.

Mr. Wei Wei has won many awards, including the National Leading Talents in Forest and Grass Science and Technology Innovation (2023), members of the Youth Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2014) and outstanding members (2018), the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2016), the 13th National Youth Geographic Science and Technology Award (2015), the National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker of the Chinese Ecological Society (2022), the Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Gansu Province (2023, 2014), the First Prize for Forestry Science and Technology Progress in Gansu Province (2014), and the First Prize for Di'ao Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2007).
