Jinzhou Xiaolinghe Ferry Crossing Welcomes Young Saunders's Gulls | CBCGDF CCAfa

On August 20th,2024, the director of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Conservation Area of Great Bustard in Jinzhou captured footage of young Saunders's Gull at the Xiaolinghe Ferry crossing in Jinzhou City during a patrol.

Jinzhou City is located in the southwest of Liaoning Province, on the north bank of the Bohai Sea, and in the eastern part of the Liaoxi Corridor. It is a transportation hub connecting the two major regions of North China and Northeast China. Due to its unique geographical location, it attracts a large number of rare bird species to migrate and breed here every year. The presence of these birds enriches the local biodiversity.

Patrolling, recording and collecting bird information, and promoting bird protection knowledge to the public is a long term and persistent work of CBCGDF Conservation Area Team, which has contributed to create a safer and more suitable living environment for birds inhabiting in Jinzhou.
