China Boasts World’s Largest New Energy Supply Chain

China has built the worlds largest and most extensive supply chain for new energy equipment.

Between 2021 and 2023, China reduced its energy intensity, a measure of energy consumption per unit of economic output, by 7.3 percent.

China has been the worlds leading producer of photovoltaic equipment for 16 consecutive years, supplying 70 percent of the global market. China also accounts for 60 percent of the worlds wind power equipment.

According to official statistics, the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China has reached 35.2 per cent, surpassing that of other major economies.
