Prof. James Crabbe Talked about The Fragility of the Ocean for Small Island Developing States: from Coral Reefs to Deep Sea Mining | CBCGDF SIDS4 Side Event

The 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) was held in Antigua and Barbuda from May 27th to 30th, 2024. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) held a side event titled "Marine Biodiversity and Sustainable Development of Small Island" at 15:00-18:00 (Beijing time) on May 28th.

Professor James Crabbe, a Fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford, delivered a speech titled: “The Fragility of the Ocean for small island developing states: from Coral Reefs to Deep Sea Mining”.

The 2024 World Water Forum (10th WWF) under the theme of "Water for Shared Prosperity" officially opened on Indonesia's island of Bali on Monday. This year ’ s theme emphasizes the need to work together to promote efficient and integrated water resources management to common prosperity. The 10th WWF ’ s six subthemes are: Water Security and Prosperity; Water for Humans and Nature; Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; Governance, Cooperation and Hydro-diplomacy; Sustainable Water Finance; and Knowledge and Innovation.
