The PR3 Secretariat brought good news to the members that PR3 has won the Re-X Before Recycling Prize supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory.

The PR3 Secretariat updated the group on the status of previous public comments on Washing. The Secretariat then solicited comments and ideas for the content of the digitisation working group, which will be used for future standards development. At the end of the meeting, the Secretariat announced the progress of the work on the recycling symbol mentioned in the last meeting, they emphasised it would be a universal symbol.

Facing the serious challenge of global plastic pollution, participation in global standard-setting not only enhances the interaction of international governance but also promotes innovation and the dissemination of new technologies to combat plastic pollution. Global standards can also provide a unified technical specification and evaluation system for scientific and technological innovations, which will also promote the development of global governance in a more just and reasonable direction.
