Actively Preparing for the COPs of the Three Rio Conventions | The International Department of CBCGDF Convened the 115th Session of the Global Environmental Governance Capacity Building Workshop

On June 14, 2024, the International Department of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), the Ocean&Wetlands Working Group and the BASE Working Group convened the 115th session of the Global Environmental Governance Capacity Building Workshop.

 


In order to better serve scientific workers, each platform reported and summarized the scientific communication data, and discussed the key points and difficulties in the work, as well as how to carry out efficient promotion according to the characteristics of different platforms.

 

The relevant person in charge reported on the progress of global environmental governance affairs. In the next few months, representatives of CBCGDF will participate in the organizational meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the BBNJ Agreement, the 29th General Assembly of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29), the 2024 United Nations Biodiversity Conference of the Parties (COP16) and the sixteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). The working groups are actively preparing for the relevant meetings.
