In order to strengthen the prevention and control of soil pollution sources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment drafted the "Action Plan for Soil Pollution Source Prevention and Control (Draft for Comments)", which was publicly released and solicited opinions from the society.
The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attaches great importance to this opinion collection work. After careful study, it proposed 12 amendments and has sent a letter to the Soil Ecological Environment Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (Letter No. [2024] SA22/582).
The CBCGDF Legal Working Committee recommends that the classification management of agricultural land be based on the national land space planning. It is recommended to increase the content of information disclosure, increase the environmental impact assessment system, increase the provisions for holding those who cause pollution accountable, etc.
