CBCGDF Standardization Committee Formulates and Releases Dual Carbon Series Standards to Implement the Implementation Plan of the Carbon Footprint Management System

On June 4, 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and 15 other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Establishing a Carbon Footprint Management System", starting from the carbon footprint of products, improving domestic rules, promoting international connection, establishing a unified and standardized carbon footprint management system, and promoting a rule system with both Chinese characteristics and international influence, actively participating in global carbon pricing and climate governance, helping the green and low-carbon transformation of the economy, high-quality development and the construction of a beautiful China, and helping to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.

Focusing on the national dual carbon goals, the Standards Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation formulated and issued the "Corporate Carbon Evaluation Standard" in 2021, proposing evaluation principles and methods from seven aspects: strategy, products, organizational behavior, R&D investment and production technology transformation, supply chain, carbon public welfare, and information disclosure, to scientifically guide enterprises to carry out carbon evaluation. The CBCGDF Standards Committee revised and issued the "Green Enterprise Evaluation Standard" in 2022 to scientifically guide enterprises with actual production processes to carry out green evaluation.

The "Zero Carbon Park Construction and Evaluation Technical Specifications" compiled by the CBCGDF Standards Committee has widely solicited opinions from all walks of life and absorbed more professional suggestions to make the standards more in line with actual needs.
