ZHOU Jinfeng will Attend the Twenty-ninth Session of the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority

The meeting of the twenty-ninth session of the Assembly of the International Seabed Authority will be held from July 29 to August 2nd in Kingston, Jamaica. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the vice chairman and the Secretariat-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will attend the meeting on site.



CBCGDF is an observer to the International Seabed Authority. The CBCGDF Ocean and Wetland Working Group is committed to the marine biodiversity protection and marine environmental governance, promoting the protection of ocean connectivity and establishing a global connectivity protection network, and has long been concerned about global marine environmental governance and marine plastic pollution control. The Ocean and Wetlands Working Group has participated in many global conferences related to marine governance to promote global marine environmental governance and marine biodiversity conservation, such as UN Ocean Conference, 2024 Ocean Decade Conference, the Intergovernmental Conference on an international legally binding instrument under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction, and the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), meanwhile holding a series of side events.
