The Relationship Between Climate Change and Turbulence | CBCGDF Research on Climate change

 On May 2024, a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore was hit by severe turbulence, resulting in the death of one passenger.

Research suggests that climate change may increase the risk of turbulence, particularly clear-sky turbulence and thunderstorms. This incident emphasises the importance of improving turbulence prediction and detection systems to cope with changing weather conditions and ensure flight safety.
