First day: Departure from Beijing to Ordos | CBCGDF 2023 Arid Area Biodiversity Investigation
On the evening of July 23, 2023, experts from the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) set off from Beijing and flew to Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, to conduct the CBCGDF 2023 Arid Area Biodiversity Investigation in Northwest China. The survey lasts for 6 days, from July 23 to 28, 2023.
Once the investigators left the airport, they felt the cool air in Ordos at night. The lowest temperature at night is 17 degrees Celsius. After that, the research experts went straight to the hotel, checked in, and fell asleep tired.

Twenty years ago, CBCGDF launched the "Arid Zone Biodiversity Investigation" program. As an observer of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), CBCGDF's program aims to promote ecological protection and sustainable use and mitigation of climate change, providing references and suggestions for policies and their implementations.
