CBCGDF proposed 18 Suggestions to the “Regulations on the Protection of Biodiversity in Shandong Province (Draft)”

 

Recently, the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress issued the "Regulations on the Protection of Biodiversity in Shandong Province (Draft)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Draft") and publicly solicited opinions from the public. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Legal Department proposed 18 suggestions for later amendments after careful discussion.

The world’s ocean ecosystems are facing mounting threats—climate change, marine pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction due to human activities, to name a few. These pressures are particularly dangerous for marine mammals like cetaceans, whose survival hinges on healthy habitats and stable populations.
