CBCGDF On Biodiversity Survey in Arid Regions of China, July 2023

CBCGDF and its partner departed on July 22, 2023, to conduct a biodiversity survey in arid regions such as Inner Mongolia and Gansu. The objectives of this survey are threefold. Firstly, to conduct biodiversity research and documentation, and hold discussions with local governments to understand the situation, especially the challenges they face.

Secondly, to explore the potential of developing ecological economy and rural revitalization in arid regions, particularly how to promote sustainable development through desert industries.

Thirdly, the aim is to reach grassroots levels during this research, uncovering specific cases to contribute to the establishment of the first-level discipline of "Soil and Water Conservation and Desertification Control" in China's scientific community.
