Dr. Zhou Jinfeng Visited Schools in Baise City to Conduct Research and Advocate Biodiversity Conservation

 In order to understand the development of biodiversity conservation education in primary and secondary schools, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), visited a Wenxiu School in Youjiang District, Baise City to conduct research on June 27, 2023.






Mr. Zhang Hong, the principal of Baidong No. 1 Primary School, introduced the development history of the school and the implementation of quality education to Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, and led the delegation to visit the school's library and playground. Dr. Zhou made suggestions on the greening work of the campus and said: “I hope that the school will not use garden-style greening, but give full play to the hands-on ability of students, encourage students to participate in person, cultivate students' interest in nature, and let students know the beauty of biodiversity. Let primary and middle school students pay attention to and understand the knowledge of biodiversity, and cultivate students' concept of green development and healthy life from an early age.”

 

Dr. Zhou Jinfeng said that for schools with excellent performance in protecting biodiversity, upon application, CBCGDF can award them the plaque of “Model School of Ecological Civilization”. In addition, Dr. Zhou also donated to the school a series of children's environmental protection picture books “Cosmicrew” of which he is one of the authors.
