CBCGDF Volunteers Reported Fishing Boats Fishing Illegally during the Fishing Ban Period of the Songhua River

It’s reported that there has been fishing boats fishing illegally in the Songhua River during its fishing ban period (from May 16 to July 31, lasting 77 days) , according to China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) volunteers who have kept patrolling along the River. Volunteers already reported it to the local fishery department.

In order to maintain the aquatic biodiversity and promote the sustainable development of fisheries, it’s hoped that the relevant local departments and personnel would strictly follow the provisions of the non-fishing (non-hunting) system and protect the fisheries resources.
