CBCGDF Project Team Explores the Best Technical Route for Ecological Restoration of Abandoned Mine Soil

Recently, in order to find out how to quickly and effectively restore the ecological environment of abandoned mining areas, the project team of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) organized a technical team to go to the Miyun mining area to conduct a biodiversity survey. Among them, soil ecological restoration and recovery in abandoned mining areas is one of the important topics, which involves multiple technologies and strategies. How to select the most effective soil restoration and recovery technology and strategy is crucial to restore the ecological activity of the soil in the mining area and maintain the balance of the ecosystem.

Related technologies include: plant remediation technology, microbial remediation technology, physical remediation technology, chemical remediation technology, and systematic remediation technology research.

The Ministry of Natural Resources has issued new requirements for improving the incentive and constraint system for mine ecological restoration, emphasizing the scientific and reasonable principles, optimizing the requirements for the preparation and review of plans, strictly enforcing the procedures for the disposal of earth and stone materials, and strengthening the comprehensive utilization of resources in mining areas.

Mine soil ecological restoration is a key part of the entire mine restoration. Under the guidance of policies, we must improve the management of ecological remediation and maintenance and utilization in mining areas, adopt systematic, scientific and localized technologies and methods, and give abandoned soil vitality and vitality.
