CBCGDF Deputy Secretary-General Attended the ISO/TC 331 WG2 Consultation Meeting for Umbrella Task Force on Technical Report-Comprehensive Review and Categorization of Methodologies for Measuring, Monitoring, and Assessing Biodiversity
On
October 29, 2024, the Umbrella Task Force Working Group of the ISO/TC 331 WG2
"Measurement, Data, Monitoring and Assessment " held a meeting to
discuss the comments feedback on the Technical Report-Comprehensive Review and
Categorization of Methodologies for Measuring, Monitoring, and Assessing
Biodiversity, as well as the framework and priority of the future work of the working
group.
Mr.
Tobias Christian Gebhardt presided over the meeting. Ms. WABG Huo, Deputy
Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development
Foundation (CBCGDF), attended the meeting as an expert, and discussed with the
participants the feedback and opinions received from the experts on the
technical report.
The
International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on
Biodiversity (ISO/TC 331) was established in June 2020 to carry out
standardization
in
the field of Biodiversity to develop principles, framework, requirements,
guidance and supporting tools in a holistic and global approach for all
organizations, to enhance their contribution to Sustainable Development.
ISO/TC
331 consists of four working groups, "Terminology",
"Measurement, Data, Monitoring and Assessment", "Protection,
Conservation and Restoration", and "Organization, Strategies and
Sustainable Use".
