CBCGDF Supported Field Practice Survey in the Northwest of Yunnan on International Biodiversity Day

On May 21, 2023, under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the Lijiang Municipal Party Committee, Lijiang Teachers College, together with Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Science and Technology Bureau of Lijiang City, and Lijiang Science and Technology Association, organized 200 teachers and students to Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences and launched the International Day for Biological Diversity.

 

All teachers and students first gathered at the gate of Lijiang Alpine Botanical Garden to take photos and shouted the slogan: Biodiversity—we are in action. Through understanding and collecting alpine plant specimens, students learned how to collect, press and trim plant specimens in the wild, learned the rapid identification technology of wild plants through the description of the morphological characteristics of wild plants by teachers, and further understood the diversity of alpine plants.

 

This event was strongly supported by Humanities and Biodiversity National Science Popularization Education Base of Lijiang Teachers College, CBCGDF Biodiversity Conservation Base (CBCGDF.Ur53-002), School of Applied Technology of Lijiang Teachers College, and Science and Technology Association of Lijiang Teachers College.
