CBCGDF Baihua Mountain Project Research Team Conducted a Biodiversity Baseline Investigation in Mentougou District, Beijing

Recently, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) BaihuaMountain Project Research Team went to the surrounding areas of Qingshui Town, Mentougou District, Beijing to conduct a biodiversity baseline investigation, which aims to improve the regional biodiversity database and provide a scientific basis for related engineering construction, ecological protection and restoration.

Based on the terrain and water characteristics, the investigators preset 10 aquatic biological monitoring points in typical river habitats, and used fishing tools such as ground cage nets for sampling; for amphibians and reptiles, two sample lines with a total length of about 1 km were designed to record species activity traces through the sample line method. The relevant data will be included in the long-term monitoring system to study and analyze the interference mechanism of climate change on the ecosystem.
